Tour De France
The Tour de France is an annual men's multiple-stage bicycle race primarily held in France, with a history dating back to 1903 when it was created by Henri Desgrange and Géo Lefèvre to increase sales for the newspaper L'Auto. The race is part of the UCI World Tour and features 21 day-long stages over a period of 23 or 24 days, covering approximately 3,500 kilometers. The format includes time trials, passage through mountain chains, and a finish on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The rider with the lowest cumulative time at the end of the race wears the yellow jersey, while other classifications include the points, mountains, and young rider classifications. The Tour de France is the oldest and most prestigious of the three Grand Tours, along with the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España.learn more on wikipedia
