Patriot Missile Battery
The MIM-104 Patriot is a surface-to-air missile system used by the US Army and several allied states, manufactured by Raytheon. It began replacing the Nike Hercules and MIM-23 Hawk systems in 1984 and has been used in various roles, including high to medium air defense, anti-ballistic missile defense, and tactical air defense. The system uses an advanced aerial interceptor missile and high-performance radar systems, and has been exported widely. It has been used in combat, including against Iraqi missiles in the 2003 Iraq War and against Houthi missile attacks in the Yemen conflict. The Patriot system has undergone several upgrades, including the PAC-1 and PAC-3 upgrades, and is expected to stay fielded until at least 2040.learn more on wikipedia
