Palazzo Chigi
The Chigi Palace, located in Rome's Piazza Colonna, is a former noble residence that has served as the seat of the Council of Ministers and the official residence of the Prime Minister of Italy since 1961. It was built in 1562 by Giacomo della Porta and underwent numerous renovations and expansions over the centuries, including a major restoration in 1999. The palace has been the residence of several high-ranking officials, including the Austro-Hungarian Ambassador to Italy and the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Notable events have taken place at the palace, including a concert by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1770 and a shooting incident in 2013. The palace is also home to the Chigi library, which contains thousands of valuable manuscripts.learn more on wikipedia
