Maoism
Maoism, also known as Mao Zedong Thought, is a variety of Marxism-Leninism developed by Mao Zedong to realize a socialist revolution in pre-industrial China. It differs from traditional Marxism-Leninism in that a united front of progressive forces leads the revolutionary vanguard in pre-industrial societies. Maoism was the dominant ideology of the Chinese Communist Party and Maoist movements worldwide from the 1950s until the Chinese economic reforms of Deng Xiaoping in the late 1970s. The term "Maoism" was coined by Mao's supporters, while Mao himself preferred the term "Mao Zedong Thought". Maoism was influenced by the Chinese intellectual tradition of iconoclasm and nationalism, which emphasized the rejection of traditional values and the importance of anti-imperialism and nationalism.learn more on wikipedia
