Lake Edward

Lake Edward is one of the smaller African Great Lakes, located on the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda, with an elevation of 920 meters and a surface area of 2,325 square kilometers. The lake was named after Prince Albert Edward, son of Queen Victoria, and has undergone name changes, including being renamed Lake Idi Amin after Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in 1973.
