King Khalid International Airport
King Khalid International Airport is an international airport located about 35 kilometres north of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The airport has five passenger terminals, a mosque, and parking facilities for 11,600 vehicles, and is owned and operated by Riyadh Airports Company. It has one of the world's tallest air traffic control towers and two parallel runways, each 4,260 meters in length. The Royal Terminal is designated for government officials, state guests, and the Saudi royal family. The airport is also one of the busiest in the Middle East, and has a Royal Mosque with a significant programme of integral art, including the largest and technically most advanced stained glass project of the modern period. The airport was opened in 1983 and has undergone expansion, with the addition of Terminal 5 in 2016, a 106,500 square meter rectangular building that can serve 16 narrow-body or 8 wide-body aircraft.learn more on wikipedia
