International Space Station
The International Space Station (ISS) is a large space station in low Earth orbit, assembled and maintained by a collaboration of five space agencies and their contractors. The ISS is the largest space station ever built, with a primary purpose of performing microgravity and space environment experiments. It is divided into two sections: the Russian Orbital Segment and the US Orbital Segment, and is equipped with a range of modules for research, habitation, storage, and spacecraft control. The ISS has been continuously occupied since 2000, with over 279 individuals from 22 countries visiting the station. The ISS is expected to remain in service until the end of 2030, after which it will be de-orbited by a dedicated NASA spacecraft.learn more on wikipedia
