Haifa Port
The Port of Haifa is the largest of Israel's three major international seaports, handling around 30 million tons of cargo per year and employing over 1,000 people. It has a natural deep-water harbor that operates all year round and serves both passenger and merchant ships. The port has a long history dating back to prehistoric times, and has been an important trade hub in the region since the Crusader era. It was developed into a modern port in the 20th century, with construction beginning in 1922 and officially opening in 1933. Today, the port is a crucial gateway for Israel's economy and a key player in regional markets, with a range of facilities including cargo terminals, a passenger terminal, and a railroad freight terminal.learn more on wikipedia
