Grok
Grok is a generative artificial intelligence chatbot developed by xAI and launched in 2023 as an initiative by Elon Musk. The chatbot is advertised as having a "sense of humor" and direct access to X, formerly known as Twitter. Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but left the company's board in 2018, and he later signed the "Pause Giant AI Experiments" open letter from the Future of Life Institute in March 2023. Musk initially announced an AI chatbot called "TruthGPT" but later changed its name to "Grok" after a verb coined by Robert A. Heinlein in his 1961 science-fiction novel Stranger in a Strange Land. Grok was initially released in November 2023 as an early beta product and was later open sourced under the Apache-2.0 license in March 2024. The chatbot has undergone several updates, including improved reasoning capabilities and image understanding capabilities, and it has been released in several countries, including the United Kingdom and the European Union.learn more on wikipedia
