Global South
The Global North and Global South refer to a method of grouping countries based on their socioeconomics and politics, with the Global South comprising Africa, Latin America, Asia (excluding Israel, Japan, and South Korea), and Oceania (excluding Australia and New Zealand) and characterized by lower incomes, poverty, inadequate housing, and deficient health systems. The Global North consists of developed countries such as Northern America, Europe, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, with higher standard of living and economic development. The two terms do not refer to geographical hemispheres and are based on economic and socio-political characteristics, with the Global South often being described as newly industrializing or in the process of industrializing. The classification of the Global South was introduced as a value-free alternative to the term "Third World".learn more on wikipedia
