Bay of Pigs

The Bay of Pigs is an inlet of the Gulf of Cazones located on the southern coast of Cuba, historically significant for the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion of 1961. The bay is home to a diverse array of marine life, including 30 species of sponges and numerous fish species, making it a popular destination for diving. The area has undergone several administrative changes, being part of Santa Clara Province, Las Villas Province, and finally Matanzas Province.
