787 Dreamliner
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an American wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It was launched in 2004 with an order for 50 aircraft from All Nippon Airways and made its maiden flight on December 15, 2009. The aircraft is powered by General Electric GEnx or Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 high-bypass turbofans and features an airframe primarily made of composite materials. The 787-8, the initial variant, typically seats 248 passengers over a range of 7,305 nautical miles, while the stretched 787-9 and 787-10 variants can carry 296 and 336 passengers, respectively. The aircraft has experienced several problems, including issues with its lithium-ion batteries and quality control issues, which have caused delays and a slowdown in deliveries. As of August 2024, the 787 program has received 1,927 orders and made 1,142 deliveries.learn more on wikipedia
