2020 Abraham Accords
The Abraham Accords are bilateral agreements on Arab-Israeli normalization signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and between Israel and Bahrain on September 15, 2020. The agreements, mediated by the United States, established full diplomatic relations between Israel and the UAE and Bahrain, with both countries recognizing Israel's sovereignty. The agreements were named after the common belief of Judaism and Islam in the prophet Abraham. Subsequent agreements were signed with Sudan, Morocco, and the United States recognized Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara in exchange for Morocco's recognition of Israeli sovereignty.
