Israel announces names of three hostages to be released from Gaza on Saturday
The articles report on a hostage release agreement between Hamas and Israel as part of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The agreement involves Hamas releasing three Israeli hostages, Sagui Dekel-Chen, Alexandre Sasha Troufanov, and Iair Horn, in exchange for 369 Palestinians held in Israeli jails. This is reportedly the next step in a series of hostage releases, with Hamas having previously released several other captives. The agreement was initially delayed due to a dispute between Hamas and Israel, with Hamas accusing Israel of violating the terms of the ceasefire by blocking aid from entering Gaza. Israel has stated that it will resume fighting if the hostages are not freed. The released hostages will be handed over and returned to Israel, while the released Palestinians will be sent back to the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, or Egypt.
If Hamas does not comply by Saturday, the ceasefire will end, and we will resume intense fighting until Hamas is eliminated.
That framework makes clear that three live hostages must be released by Hamas terrorists on Saturday.
If Hamas...violate this agreement and do not release our hostages, the government has made clear that it has instructed our armed forces - and we have already amassed forces inside and surrounding Gaza - if Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday noon the ceasefire will end and the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] will resume intense fighting until the final defeat of Hamas.
There is no entry of caravans (mobile homes) or heavy equipment into the Gaza Strip, and there is no coordination for this.
Syria must clearly continue to fight against terrorist organisations that spread chaos in your country and who want to export it. That's why the fight against Islamic State and all terrorist groups is an absolute priority.
Islamic State knew that the [Americans] will takeover Gaza and displace the Palestinian [Muslims] to Sinai and other nearby countries and now we have Trump [infidel] who is talking about taking Gaza and displacing its population.
In addition to immense human suffering, I also witnessed an unimaginable degree of the destruction of infrastructure and houses, and an overwhelming volume of rubble.
The language of threats is meaningless and only complicates matters.
We are keen to implement it (the ceasefire) and oblige the occupation to fully abide by it.
