Israel Evaluates New Ceasefire Framework with Hamas
Israel is reportedly evaluating Hamas' comments on a potential deal to free its hostages in Palestinian territory. The development comes as both sides face increased international pressure to agree to a ceasefire. Israel has stated that there can be no halt to hostilities until its military and governing capabilities are destroyed, while Hamas has made concessions in its latest response, enabling the two parties to enter detailed negotiations. Israeli officials believe this will lead to an agreement, but it is not yet finalized or assured. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must first approve moving forward with negotiations, which are expected to be lengthy and difficult. The deal would need to include details such as the identities of Palestinian prisoners to be released.
We have put forward some demands that achieve securing access to a complete ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
The people of Israel show time and time again in every poll that they are in favor of a complete deal for the return of all hostages. We will not allow the government's ministers to torpedo the deal again.
