Donald Trump Threatens Russia with Economic Consequences Over Ongoing Ukraine War Situation
ai generated text
President Trump has threatened Russia with economic measures, including tariffs and sanctions, if the war in Ukraine is not resolved soon, while emphasizing he does not seek to harm Russia and claims a good relationship with Putin. Despite promising to end the conflict within 24 hours if re-elected, his statements and approach have faced skepticism and criticism, with doubts about their effectiveness in achieving peace.
It is necessary to prepare the male population [of Russia] to defend the Motherland. We must talk about this and not shy away from it.
The real killing now is on the war front. It's a very flat land, and the only thing that stops a bullet is somebody's body, and you have young soldiers. So, Russia's lost about 800,000 soldiers now. Ukraine's lost about 600,000 or 700,000. I think the numbers are lower than they're giving out.
One thing I do feel is the European Union should be paying a lot more than they're paying.
We're talking to (Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelenskyy. We're going to be talking with President Putin very soon, and we'll see what, how it all happens.
It's time to 'MAKE A DEAL.' NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE LOST!!!
President Zelenskyy would like to have peace. He's told me that very strongly. But it takes two to tango.
Millions of people are being killed. It's a vicious situation.
So we have to see what does the 'deal' mean in President Trump's understanding. He is not responsible for what the U.S. has been doing in Ukraine since 2014, making it 'anti-Russia' and preparing for the war with us, but it is in his power now to stop this malicious policy.
The war should have never started. If you had a competent president, which you didn't, the war wouldn't have happened. The war in Ukraine would have never happened if I were president.
All of that being said, I'm going to do Russia, whose Economy is failing, and President Putin, a very big FAVOR. Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT'S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE.
If we don't make a 'deal,' and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries.
From all the Europeans? 200,000, it's a minimum. It's a minimum, otherwise it's nothing.
As for the settlement of the situation itself, I want to emphasise that its goal should not be a brief truce but a lasting peace based on respect for the legitimate interests of all people.
I'm not looking to hurt Russia. I love the Russian people, and always had a very good relationship with President Putin - and this despite the Radical Left's Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX. We must never forget that Russia helped us win the Second World War, losing almost 60,000,000 lives in the process.
Time is not on Russia's side. But it's not necessarily on ours either. Because we are not yet doing enough. There should be no doubt in any of our minds that we must spend more to prevent war. But we also need to prepare for war.
Russia poses an existential threat to our security today, tomorrow and for as long as we underinvest in our defence.
People say I'm a Russia hawk. I think I'm simply realistic about Russia.
If Europe is to survive, it must be armed.
Ask not of America what it can do for our security. Ask yourselves what we can do for our own security.
Compared to the hopelessness in every aspect of the previous White House chief (President Joe Biden), there is a window of opportunity today, albeit a small one.
It's therefore important to understand with what and whom we will have to deal, how best to build relations with Washington, how best to maximise opportunities and minimise risks.
Over several months now, the normal consumption of artillery ammunition by the Russian army has actually been halved.
